True Wealth: Living in Riches Beyond Money
People often give away their power in pursuit of “wealth.”
As they become preoccupied with the acquisition of money so that they can better control their circumstances, they become increasingly disconnected from the true wealth available to them.
What is true wealth?
True wealth is so much more than a symbolic currency.
True wealth is to be rich in experience. Actually being available to sense the subtleties of being alive rather than being haunted by persistent fears and anxieties.
True wealth is to be rich in connection, not just with the people close to you but with all of life.
Every day I envision a healed planet. I imagine humanity exercising it’s full creative potential while living in harmony with our Earth. This evokes a beautiful image of our home perpetually blossoming in the light of the sun.
With this vivid imagery, the visceral sensation of a healed planet then floods my body.
This is where I source my wealth. This is how I discover that to say “I exist” is to be rich.
This doesn’t mean money doesn’t play a role. But because my experience of wealth is internally generated, I don’t have to endlessly scramble “out there” in order to accumulate more and more money.
In fact, the clarity and freedom this stance provides allows money to find me so much more easily.
Money acts as a tyrant over so many people’s attention. It was only ever meant to be a tool.
Having a lot of it doesn’t change how much you’re worth. You’re priceless.
Getting more of it doesn’t change the wealth you experience. True wealth is an inside job.
