Rwanda, my childhood nest, was ravaged by genocide.
As a kid before the atrocities, I knew it as a playground of unconditional freedom. Such a stark contrast.
And with this contrast, comes a choice…
A choice we all must make.
In this life, I’ve witnessed tremendous tragedy.
I’ve felt the soul-scorching, heart-wrenching longing for the past to rewind and rewrite itself.
I’ve also been touched by unfathomable beauty.
Acts of love that so vibrantly illustrate the strength of the human spirit that you can’t help but be moved to tears.
And there came a point in my life where I had to DECIDE which team I was playing for.
Would I become a beacon for the beautiful or casualty to tragedy?
You see, this world is overpopulated with fear.
With that, the default choice is often casualty.
Our media IV’s pump fear into our system incessantly.
Our information obesity has us fat with conceptual knowledge but starved for experiential wisdom.
It may seem the odds are stacked against us…
But you still have a CHOICE.
You can still be an ambassador for a better world.
A world that is not yet out of reach.
A world that is up to us to claim.
The deciding factor is how we source our power.
What is the stance we’re taking with life?
Are we demanding control or offering presence?
Do we seek to dominate or to participate?
Are we driven by scarcity or are we acting out of sufficiency?
Our honest answers to these questions are critical. They will determine our trajectory as a species.
I’m working to create a world where everyone is realizing their creative potential. Where humanity lives in harmony with the planet.
Towards that end, I help people replace the need for control with the power of embodied presence.
From that rooted place, we tap into a wellspring of creativity while simultaneously becoming more sensitive to where our gifts are most needed.
